Narwhals are an indie/alternative band based between Manchester, Ipswich and Todmorden (West Yorkshire). They are comprised of singer/songwriter Jacob Cordingley, multi-instrumentalist Michael Ward and drummer Tim Norman as well as Ben Hunter and Phill Ward on an occasional basis. The history of Narwhals is long and boring so we'll keep it brief. Way back at the end of 2007, schoolfriends Jacob and Ben decided to form a band once Jacob moved back to Manchester after finishing university in 2008. They then went and formed a band when Jacob moved back to Manchester after finishing university. Ed Kibblewhite joined them on bass (he left in 2012), and after a series of drummers Tim Norman joined the band in 2009. Jacob's old buddy Michael Ward (formerly of Fear of Music) joined in 2010.
Their debut album Two Dark Windows is out now on Bandcamp, Spotify, iTunes & more. It was recorded by Michael Ward and mixed/mastered by his brother Phill Ward (of Sylvia - also see his professional website www.phillward.com). Full credits can be found here.
